Join us on May 16-17th, 2026 for your chance to introduce your own dog to water rescue work! This will be your opportunity to work side by side with our k9 lifeguards and trainers. This course in open to all water loving/retrieving breeds. If you do not have a traditional retrieving/water dog please contact us before registering. All dogs should be familiar with the water and swim effectively as well as have a foundation of basic obedience prior to arriving. Puppies under 6 month old will be given exception and worked separately if needed. Your dog will be working off lead in close proximity to other dogs.  This course fills quickly, please register immediately to secure your spot! Please read the entire page!

This is an intensive course that requires both handler and dog be capable of swimming and working in and around the water. This basic/introduction class will be perfect for anyone who is new to working with your dog in the water or anyone who has not worked with our team before. We will teach you how to size and install the water rescue PFD on your dog as well as how to utilize the water rescue jacket to perform rescues!

Day 2 will be a more technical training from watercraft. We will teach you how to jump, swim and rescue from our water rescue boats and jet ski.   This is a physically demanding class. Please be honest about you and your dogs abilities and physical conditioning. This is not a sport training class or breed specific water test. Our training is based upon the SICS (Italian school of water rescue dogs) methods and our years of in water rescue of humans with K9’s.

*The delphinus water rescue jacket is mandatory for all dogs in this course. You can purchase at registration and have it mailed to you or pick it up at sign in to the camp. Cost of the rescue jacket is $450. Jackets must be prepaid and ordered at time of registration.
