This is an intensive course that requires both handler and dog be capable of swimming and working in and around the water. We will be offering two levels of training.
The basic/introduction class will be perfect for anyone who is new to working with your dog in the water or anyone who has not worked with our team before. We will teach you how to size and install the water rescue PFD on your dog as well as how to utilize the water rescue jacket to perform rescues!
The advanced course is for prior students or handler teams with prior experience in water k9 lifeguarding . We will introduce the advanced class to the same rescue techniques from the basic class but at a higher skill level and speed. The advanced class will also do more work from watercraft and open water. This course will include both freshwater and saltwater work. This is a more physically demanding class. Please be honest about you and your dogs abilities and physical conditioning.

*The delphinus water rescue jacket is mandatory for all dogs in this course. You can purchase at registration and have it mailed to you or pick it up at sign in to the camp. Cost of the rescue jacket is $400.
**If this is your first time working with us, you will be required to take the introduction to the water rescue jacket in the basic course on the morning of the first day regardless of experience.
